Leaving the toilet seat up. Not screwing on the toothpaste cap. Cliché as they may be, these irksome habits that make you want to strangle your spouse are just child’s play compared to the hilarious insanity that Annabelle Gurwitch and Jeff Kahn expose their readers to in this humorous take on their daily life as husband and wife in “You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up.”

Both performers and writers, Annabelle (Dinner and a Movie co-host; Seinfeld, Boston Legal) and Jeff (Emmy Award winner for his writing on The Ben Stiller Show and actor in The 40-Year-Old Virgin; Tropic Thunder) ignore the indelible truths that have been burned into our psyches about marriage and child rearing, turn them on their head, crack them open and laugh in the face of conventional wisdom.

Cynical yet sincere, it’s a he-says-she-says accounting of connubial “bliss-lessness” that will have you identifying with them both - agreeing with her at times, when out of the blue you are immediately blindsided by his take on the subject matter, and you are stopped dead in your tracks wondering who’s on first.

If there are two sides to every story, then this one will have you laughing so hard you will be spurting coffee from your nose – looking for the paper towels that HE forgot to replace, or that SHE forgot to buy.
