Hey Don't Blame Me, I Voted for Client 8...
Written by Hulya Aksu
Wednesday, 12 March 2008

Ok, that is funny I have to admit but that cracked me up today.

My question: why do women stay when they are publicly humiliated by their less than human politically involved husbands?

Most recently the Harvard grad wife of Client 9, you know... the one from NY. Even the prostitute was worried after reminding the pimp/madame that there would be pain involved. Than there is the spouse of Louisiana Sen. David Vitter after his name was found on a madam's list last year. Oh and the wife of Idaho Sen. Larry Craig who was arrested for disorderly conduct for allegedly trying to pick up an undercover police officer in an airport bathroom last year. One more... the wife of New Jersey Gov. James McGreevey who stood by when he announced he had a gay lover who also was a state employee.

Oh yeah! I almost forgot, Hillary!!! So why do these women....

Political Junkies Beware

I found my favorite new website. http://glassbooth.org/

You take a quiz and the political candidate that best matches your virtues and beliefs, gets matched to your profile. You do not need to join the group or give any info about yourself. I love it. I was matched with the guy I adored ...

I was done having New Year's resolutions until the new year crept up on me again and I fell into the trap I swore I would avoid. So what is it now?....

VA 267 HOV killing the environment softly
Written by Murat Aksu
Wednesday, 05 December 2007

6:50AM, I leave the house to attend a Technology Marketing Alliance meeting in Tyson's Corner.  The topic is "Straight from the Board: Corporate Board Members Tell What They Really Want from the CMO."  It is a breakfast event from 7:45AM and 10:00AM.  I take the VA 267 toll road.

7:00AM, I pass the first toll booths without any problem.

7:01AM, I am sitting in bumber to bumber traffic, 10 feet passed the tolls.

7:10AM, I can still make it to Tyson's Corner by 7:45AM, right?

7:15AM, I think we moved about a mile, I can now see the HOV lanes coming out of the airport.

7:20AM, I moved 1/2 mile, maybe.  I am listening to CNBC on XM Radio.  They say the price of oil is rising again.  I don't know about you guys, but when the price of oil gets closer to $100, I start to pull for oil.  I want to see it break the record.  Americans love an underdog, don't they? Want a good deal on travel? Think like a "bad" parent.
Written by Karen Hart
Saturday, 27 October 2007

Before I go any further with this entry I have to say this; as a travel agent I get a ton of calls each week from parents saying they want a great deal on a family vacation. When I tell them the best deals can be found during the months the kids are normally in school I get the same response, "Does that make me a bad parent if I pull my Timmy out of school to go to Disney?"

I can tell it is November because the dryer has Halloween candy wrappers popping out of it like confetti, announcing to me the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year. The stores, of course have been telling me this since before Halloween with ads and promises like, “the best price of the season”.
