Ok, that is funny I have to admit but that cracked me up today.
Oh yeah! I almost forgot, Hillary!!! So why do these women.... stay? I have been reading all these blogs and posts about how these women claim to have committed themselves to these men, in good times and bad. And how they are taking one for the team. But the minute that man violates the basic agreement to be faithful, all bets should be off. I find this old "stand by your man" trend an embarrassing representation for women and frankly old fashioned and stupid. NIce word. Stupid! I guess at Harvard, they do not unstupidify people. I completely agree with Lulu-as women and as mothers we are role models to our children and our community. "Standing by your man" in such a publicly humiliating situation is not the kind of role model I would want to be for my children.

I think we should embrace more women in this society who did not settle and have the courage to leave their man in a difficult situation. report abuse

Long live loyal women written by Silda, March 12, 2008
I am a big fan of Clinton for standing by her husband when he was caught cheating on her. I am now a big fan of Silda. When I married my husband, I made a promise to stand by him in good and bad times. These ladies stood their ground and did not run away at the first sight of trouble. Good for them.

Seriously, though. It is insulting for me as a woman to see another woman stand meekly by their slimy husbands as they recount for all the world how they cheated. Tell me that the poor woman is not standing there thinking that somehow she was at fault? I would have given any amount of money to have seen Silda turn to her 'husband' at the end of his speech and say, "Oh by the way, honey, so that our daughters can raise their heads high, I'll be divorcing you."
Women everywhere would be cheering. I sure would be.
