Have you thought about it? As much as I would like to say it is one of the best celebrations we have as a couple, that is just not the reality.
My husband, John, is a guy's guy .... which makes this "Holiday" an extremely tough one! He has tried. Tried hard ... once he left my roses on a train, another time he locked his keys in a car--along with my gift--, and he has taken me to Mortons (seriously not romantic!); I think I even cried there. I don't know if this Hallmark Holiday is culturally or innately just too full of pressure for these guys??
So, I have decided to make my own Valentine's wishes come true. I love to decorate for the season and my vintage vibe just screams for Valentine's lace, heart soaps, soft chenille, cameo lockets, all things pink & red! I guess what I am saying is, as Modern Moms why don't we take the potential disappointment out of the day and the scrutiny off the guys and celebrate with our own style!

So decide what your Valentine's Day style is and make it happen! If jewelry is a must -- pick out a beautiful "right-hand-ring" that you love! If baking is your thing, then make Red Velvet cupcakes
for all, and if dining out is it ... make the reseys at the restaurant YOU want!! Relieving the guys of this pressure may be the best Valentine's we could give them!
Happy Valentine's Day to YOU!
