Buyers beware. In recent years the footwear industry has exploded with a new trend of so-called ‘toning shoes.’ How are toning shoes supposed to work? Their shape is different from traditional sneakers in that the bottoms have curves or pods as opposed to being flat, thereby creating instability while walking so your legs and butt have to work harder and will get more toned as a result. Sounds too good to be true? Well it is.
