Maybe there’s no truth in the notion that swingers exist in the DC suburbs. And maybe it’s just an unfounded rumor when people say that Northern Virginia swingers place distinctive white rocks outside their homes. On the other hand, I suppose it’s possible that there’s truth in those ideas, yet swingers maintain some sort of virtual wall with respect to the information they share with non-swingers. If you’re scratching your head with wonder, you’ve obviously found a seat next to me, right between that rock and a hard place. You see, over the last several weeks, I chased numerous white rock and swinger leads, yet all were ultimately dead-ends. Indeed, I’ve lost count of the number of people who said, “I know someone who’ll talk with you.” or “oh, let me pass your information along because my friend knows someone who knows someone who swings.” I contacted therapists who readily cited professional obligations and opted not to divulge whether they even knew anything about the practice of swinging. I unsuccessfully searched for an informed talker through my blog, through Facebook and even Craigslist. Oh, by the way, Craigslist maintains a “Casual Encounters” category. Who knew?

With all this, I’m left to think that if a prolific swinger community in fact exists in Northern Virginia, it’s managed to seal its informational wall with the effectiveness of a heavily guarded moat.
So here’s one more solicitation. If you’re in the know with respect to the white rock “myth” or the practice of swinging in Northern Virginia, let’s talk. Your lifestyle isn’t for everyone, but name a lifestyle that is. And I’ll welcome the opportunity to present an informative and tactful report on the local swinging community and the veracity of the white rock “myth.” Unless you choose otherwise, you’ll, of course, remain anonymous and unidentifiable. And I assure you that your story will satisfy a “wish I knew” urge for many.

I think the writer is soliciting information. I know it is disappointing, I was waiting for some juicy stuff too. But may be, next issue there will be part II. LOL!

This is seriously an article in the magazine? I read it first in the print edition: four paragraphs, two pages, and no information. I get that the magazine focuses on Reader Generated Content. Note, that the last word is "Content."
