"Citronelle and Saks Fashion Show showcase summer foods and styles for St. Jude fundraiser"
The Latham Hotel’s charming boutique foyer was maxed out this past Wednesday, June 6, 2012, raising over $6,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Located off the cobblestone streets of Georgetown, Michel Richard’s Citronelle, situated on the first floor of the Latham, hosted a fashion show directed by MyDCStyle’s April Jones Firoozabadi. Guests were mesmerized by models in bright summer styles from Saks Tyson’s Galleria. VIP ticketholders enjoyed early event access and makeovers from Chanel Tyson’s. Summer menu hors d’ourves from Citronelle, included tuna-beet tartare, crab spring rolls, savory onion tarts, salmon terrines, and asparagus shooters. For dessert, guests savored Richard’s notorious gianduja “kit-kat” chocolate bars, and cherry and pistachio mini cheesecakes.
“I thought ‘Summer Hope’ was the perfect combination of food, fashion and philanthropy!” Firoozabadi said. “Michel Richard is a gem to work with. His longtime support of St. Jude and continued commitment to bring awareness to the DC area is truly a blessing.”
