Rethink Your Coffee Cup

coffee cupWe Americans sure are hooked on our caffeine.  How many times have you read someone’s status on Facebook that referenced how much they love coffee, how much they need coffee, or that they want a coffee iv drip?  It’s certainly a love affair that we have with our cup of Joe.

Now that the fall season is almost here people are jumping for joy for the return of fall flavors to the coffee shops.  Pumpkin spice latte anyone?

According to a 2011 survey conducted by Alterra Coffee Roasters, the average American consumes 3 cups of coffee a day.  Assuming that a high percentage of those cups of coffee are purchased at one of the thousands of coffee shops that line our streets, how many cups are being disposed of on a regular basis?  That’s a lot of waste, which is why I love Lilly Pulitzer Thermal Mugs.

The stainless steel-lined mugs are BPA, lead and phthalate-free.  They’re sturdy, well insulated and dishwasher safe.  The mugs come in various designs that bear Lilly Pulitzer’s signature style so you can pick your favorite one to carry around.

If you are a coffee lover that is consistently throwing away disposable cups, imagine how much waste you will save by picking up a Lilly Pulitzer reusable thermal mug.  It’s great for hot and cold drinks and absolutely perfect for that pumpkin spice latte.
