Anthony Cavallo is a master at putting together a winning team for a successful restaurant and he has done it at Vintage 50.

He assembled area’s best talent to come together to “bring a new taste to Loudoun with hand crafted beers, an extensive wine list, great new American food all in a relaxed, yet elegant getting.”His talented team includes young up -and-coming Executive Chef, Aaron Mc-Cloud, California trained Brew Master, Bill Maden, well-known Middleburg Sommelier, Windy L. Merrill, and the talented Natalie Kiefaber who handles special events and marketing. Vintage 50’s spacious location offers it all; outside seating with live music, a private section for up to 30 people, a full bar with 57 kinds of Vodkas in addition to 10 hand crafted beers, and an elegant wine bar. Executive Chef, Aaron McCloud uses seasonal local produce from Virginia based
farms to create his delicious progressive American dishes. His menu changes based on seasons and he does not believe in signature dishes. He is young, hip and he knows he can re-create master pieces over and over again with his signature style.
During this visit, we tried Tuna Tartar paired with a refreshing Belgium Pale (Angel’s Share) beer with all European ingredients. Tuna was molded together with capers, French beans, salad of frisee and Nicoise olive vinaigrette. This is a great alternative to the tired old Caesar. We also sampled the Italian Muffuletta Panini with Genoa salami, capicola, and prosciutto with olive salad and red wine vinegar dressing. It is a warmer version of the New Orleans classic from Central Grocery in the heart of French Quarter. Our Muffuletta was paired with great tasting Pale Ale. Our absolute favorite dish was the grilled calamari stuffed with
house made pork sausage. This dish is innovative and exquisitely served with Satsuma tangerines and citrus emulsion. My recommendation to you is to stay connected with this new Leesburg institution. They are sponsoring local beer festivals, organizing wine paring and cooking sessions. You should sign up for their newsletter, and don’t forget to try their Devil’s Due, a Belgian style Strong Golden Ale.
