Pho Bistro

A Vietnamese Pho restaurant that is true to the soup’s French origin:

Who would have guessed that the Vietnamese staple, Pho, originated from the classic French stew “Pot-Au-Feu?” Pho which is probably the Vietnamese pronunciation of the French word “Feu”, meaning fire, has gone through many modifications to become a Franco-Chinese-Vietnamese melting pot. To our families, it has become a comfort soup and we cannot think of a better place to have it than The Pho Bistro.

Lightfoot Restaurant

The building that houses Lightfoot was originally constructed in 1888 for Peoples National Bank in downtown Leesburg. This beautiful Romanesque revival-style building has been restored to its original state by the Gustavsons (Ingrid and Carrie), and opened its doors in 1992 as Lightfoot Café (Lightfoot Restaurant in 1997).

Shamshiry

A Persian Gem Hidden Among Commercial Buildings:

Famous Persian poet Omar Khayyam wrote “If one may have a loaf of the flower of wheat - a two Maund jar of wine - a thigh of mutton - seated with a heart’s darling in a ruined place – that is a pleasure that is not the attainment of any Sultan.” You don’t have to be a Sultan to find 3 out of the 4 (bread, wine and mutton) at this Persian Kebab restaurant.

Sorrento Grill

We have been a long time customer of Sorrento Grill in Herndon, so when we heard that they were opening a restaurant in Ashburn, we were ecstatic. This new location is richly decorated with mosaic covered walls, inside fountain and a mahogany wood full bar.
