The Service: Endermologie, Lipomassage, and Slimming Body Wrap. TBD advertises themselves as being “dedicated to complete body shaping...inside and out...” Our visit confirmed this. The spa has a very calming and meditative feel. There was an un-hurried pace that immediately gave us the sense that the staff would go out of their way to make our experience memorable. Lisa Bauer, the owner, took some time to talk about her business model and philosophy, which she identified as ‘synergy.’ By reaching out to others in the wellness and beauty industry, Lisa can offer additional services, such as pain relief, natural weight loss, holistic healing, etc. So we began. Raheleh, the Endermologie technician, gave us a (yikes) body stocking to put on and explained that Endermologie is the only FDA approved way to get rid of cellulite and tone, firm, and tighten skin.

Before we tell you about our facial, we want to tell you a little about this spa that you find in the strip mall next to Giant. What does that mean? They built the building leaving as little carbon footprint behind as possible. They also purchased Green Energy Credits for wind power equal to 100% of their energy consumption per year.

First we feel compelled to tell you what endermologie is because we actually had never heard of it. Endermologie utilizes a computerized machine that massages tissues (meaning your fat) under suction to improve blood flow and lymphatic drainage. As our technician Katie told us, “It is our way of slapping your fat cells into shape.” We will take any slapping we get to get those stubborn thighs to cooperate.

Radiance Salon offers traditional beauty treatments combined with the latest medical advances under the supervision of Dr. Chang, a board certified plastic surgeon. Radiance is one of the rare spas that offer both great looking highlights and Botox injections. Even though Radiance is in a shopping mall, it definitely is not a strip mall spa. It ranks high in quality, services and costs.
