Optimum performance when everyone is wanting and waiting for you to fail

Imagine this scenario. You are a 47 year old unemployed lady, from a small town, with poor taste in clothing. You always wanted to be a singer and you finally get your chance on a TV show hosted by Simon Cowell named Britain's Got Talent. You have never been married and never been kissed. Most of the participants are at least half your age. The live audience, maybe even younger than that. You get on the stage and Simon is rolling his eyes. He asks several questions to be polite.

Everyone in live audience and at home brace for you to start singing, just imagining how horrible and awkward it’s going to be. And then you do. You sing "I dream the dream" from Les Miserables. Watch it here. Hollywood could not have filmed it better.

I love this story so much and loved the way she nailed one of my favorite songs of all time! It's not easy to stand in front of Simon Cowell waiting to be judged. She proved everyone wrong. Good for her!!!
