Online Dating

Q: What do you really think about online dating services?

Online datingRomance Guru: Online dating sites can be daunting, but with a little caution and an armload of honesty, you can truly expect lots of dating opportunities, and possible love connections.  Take it from me.........I am a Match.com success story myself!

While it's true that some men do not always portray themselves as they should, it's usually easy to spot the cheater-cheater-pumpkin eaters. The red flags are fairly obvious. Trust your instincts!  There are even companies that for a small fee will run background checks for you.

Include a recent photo of yourself, and be honest when describing yourself. Never, ever give out personal information or addresses.  And when it comes time to actually meeting, pick a public place, not your home or apartment.  There is some difference of opinion whether coffee dates or Happy Hours are better; that's a personal preference.  And trust your gut; you usually know in a matter of minutes if the chemistry is there!

Don't get discouraged.  If a possible match doesn't work out, be gracious and move on.
