Modern Mom Magazine is Looking for the Cutest Mom

Modern Mom Magazine, world’s only social networking magazine that is in print, online and in person, announces its Cover Mom Contest for the February 2008 issue. Modern Mom Magazine will select its cover mom from the online applications it receives and will also feature 5 moms from the group of runner ups.

Modern Mom Magazine which was launched in November 2007 has featured Kathy Galkin, renowned fitness guru in Loudoun County, Virginia as its first cover mom. Kathy Galkin started the first StrollerFit franchise in Virginia almost two years ago and now has 180 members. Among 300 franchises across the country, her StrollerFit franchise is the largest class in the nation. Three moms, Julie E. Ferguson, Lynda Cline and Karina Rivas McKee were selected as feature moms from a group of runner ups for the inaugural issue of Modern Mom Magazine for Loudoun County.

“When the magazine hit the shelves in November, we immediately realized the positive impact it had in the lives of our cover and feature moms” says Hulya Aksu, founder and CEO of Modern Mom Media Corporation. “We are dedicated to selecting our cover moms from the community and we decided to expand the number of featured moms in order to extend its positive effects to a larger group of women.”

Modern Mom Magazine offers local moms the ability to connect with each other and businesses by using a variety of ways. They can connect by reading the magazine, using the website, chat boards, blogs, and by coming together in monthly face to face meetings. It is a world in which the virtual, print and reality come together.
