Marilyn Manson, Macy Gray and Modern Mom...Heh?

As some of you may already know, Modern Mom Magazine is out and in distribution. You should be seeing us around you and more so in the next few days. We are thrilled to get such positive feedback. Being out also means we are busy working on the next issue. Celebration of our age represented in each age group. We are talking to moms in their 20's, 30's, 40's and so on.
I had a very interesting meeting and introduction today. Mary Porter, the owner of Curiosity Zone suggested that I speak with someone she thought would be a great subject for this issue. Her name is Linda Blum. She is in the music publishing business and has signed on many very popular singers, one being Macy Gray. We met for coffee at the Broadlands Starbucks, I swear they are going to start charging me rent for the meetings I have there. Our initial purpose was to discuss her new pet project, a toddler named Monty. Not really actually. She has co-created a music cd and band for kids. They took songs like "Raspberry Beret" by Prince and turned them into kiddy songs that moms can bear to listen over over again.

I will not ruin the upcoming article on her so I will stop there. I just wanted to say I love living here. I am meeting so many interesting moms that I never even dreamed lived here. Who knew the woman I had coffee with today would be the same woman who signed on Marilyn Manson. In LC not LA. I am just happy and wanted to share this with you.

She also suggested we talk to some other great women in the community that she knew. I hope you will do the same and give us a heads up on an extraordinary woman. We have our woman of 50 something, we are still searching for the rest.
