I know you may have already seen this rather puzzling site of little fish feasting on the dead-skin on the feet of women and men in Alexandria. Yvonne Hair and Nail Salon to be exact. Talk about publicity! My first reaction was disgust and a little shock.
Than I read the article about the business owners that brought this old Turkish practice for treating psoriasis to the US. I thought... Turkey. Couldn't be. I am Turkish and we never let our fish eat feet. |

As more and more women take control of the family finances and household planning, chief among their concerns should be the family’s insurance coverage. Often overlooked, especially in landlocked locations like Loudoun County, is flood insurance.
As we have seen in many parts of Northern Virginia and elsewhere in the country, flooding can occur rather quickly during our spring and summer serious rainstorms, and the results were devastating. In fact, more than 20 percent of all flood insurance claims are filed in low-to-moderate flood-risk areas, according to industry officials. Unfortunately, too few of those victims realized that affordable flood insurance is available through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). I will add another sobering note: 90 percent of all natural disasters in the U.S. involve some type of flooding. |

Our back to schools is issue is a huge event for us. It is an important time of year for moms of all stages and ages. Our little and big ones head back to school and we get our lives back... kind of. We are looking for our next group of moms that define today's modern moms. The true definition of the new age mom that embraces traditions while adding her own unique touch to being modern.
In today's culture so much of what society sets up for norms comes from the mass media. Often we find ourselves in a race to do better and to be happier than the moms we see on the pages of magazines and websites... |

So, I saw the 16 second Madonna video leak on the internet, with Justin Timberlake. I just want to say, yeah... she looks great but is she having any fun?... |

I always wanted to know what happens when you get a tummy tuck and than get pregnant. I also wondered what happens when you get a boob lift, do you also need the implant? Or is that enough? What about Botox, do your wrinkles get worse after using it, or better? Here is another one: what happens when you take fat from your tush and inject it into the smile lines you inherited from your mom, betrayal or revenge? What is worse a droopy derrière or saggy tatas, and which one is harder to fix? At what point to do you say, I did my best with exercise, dieted.... hello lipo? You get my point.... |
