I had heard some very favorable reviews from friends who go to this salon, so I was ready to meet the staff and for a new updated summer look.
My nerves were slightly on edge since I got a little lost, but a warm greeting and a delicious mimosa handed to me when I walked through the door, relaxed me considerably.
Anna Michelle, one of the owners, took me for a tour of this compact, but very workable and bright space, which includes a nail bar, haircutting/coloring stations and an aesthetic room. I was so comfortable with what I observed, that when Anna asked me about my preference for color and cut, I (for the first time in my live) said, ‘whatever you think would look the best.’ I was not disappointed. She took into consideration my current cut and color and enhanced it with a richer color and some lovely highlights.
As I was led to the sink for a shampoo, Anna prepared me for what she said, would be a memorable experience. I was not disappointed. If there is such a thing as a hair wash artist, Zoila is it.
When it was time for a cut, Anna had me stand, explaining that this was the European way to correctly cut hair, since it would allow her to better see how the hair would fall.
As she dried the hair, she explained each step, each curl, and each product she used to best achieve the look she was after. When she was done, I could honestly say this was one of the best haircuts and color I ever had.
The Outcome: I highly recommend the services of this salon. From their enthusiasm, you can tell that the staff truly cares about your satisfaction and comfort, and more importantly, that they really love what they do.
