“Close your eyes,” Laura told me. “Now, imagine you’ve just got out of bed and are going jogging. What does your hair look like?”

As I remembered the wild pieces I had to tame this morning, Laura asked me to look at her. Gone was the short and sassy cut she was sporting seconds ago. Standing in front of me was a longhaired woman in a baseball cap, ready for anything.

“It’s all one piece,” she told me taking off the hat and the hair with it. Welcome to Laura Waites’ world. “Alternative hair offers the average woman a change without risk. She can go from black to brown to red, short to long. Whatever the weather or time constraints, I know that I’m two fluffs from being ready,” Laura explained to me, using her fingers to ruffle her alternative hair. Sure enough, it fell into place.

“We have to heal ourselves, especially as mothers, so we can then, go out and take care of each other.”

There is a sign in the far corner of Julianne Misra’s yoga studio that reads, “Breathe deeply and appreciate the moment. Living in the moment could be the meaning of life.” As I breathe, I follow her soothing voice, bending and easing into poses. The combination of her technique and the pleasantly heated room drive me into such a state of relaxation. It is not until later that I realize throughout the duration of her yoga class, my mind was completely clear, and I was doing nothing other than appreciating each moment.

I’ve always wanted to go wine tasting and for my first time I decided to try Veramar Vineyard, Berryville Virginia. I looked up many vineyards and read reviews and heard many good things about Veramar Vineyard. I heard that Veramar had beautiful views and well rated wines.

Old town Leesburg is always nice to go to, and when we are there, we often ask ourselves why we’ve not visited more often. There are hidden gems around each corner, making Loudoun one of the best places to live and visit. On one such visit, we turned into the back entrance of Lola’s Cookies & Treats located at 109 South King Street in historic downtown Leesburg. A tiny bakery filled with aromas that will seduce any dieter. We found Lorraine Hooper, the woman A great recipe is a good start, but a business is built on lots more than any single recipe. lola’s cookies behind the counter and the recipes.

The origin of Trousseau is taken from the French trousse, meaning a small bundle. At Trousseau, the dedication doesn’t end at the art of romance, putting us in the correct size bra qualifies them as our favorite store of the year.
