Go to Paolos in Reston if you...

1. Like to watch less than intelligent staff that are baffled at the idea of separate checks.
2. Like staff that cannot deliver drinks under 30 minutes.
3. Enjoy being served charred meat over-cooked to charcoal perfection.
4. If you identify with people who cannot bill groups correctly.
5. You like to be told to sit down while the group next to you stands all night.
6. You want to hear, from management, "You picked the wrong place to bring your group!"
7. Enjoy and devour cheap alcoholic beverages , but at full price.
8. Cannot wait to drink wine that is kept next to stoves, hot red wine is your fav (when not in a ski lodge).
9. You like to be ignored and not know the specials.
10. You simply like to beg for your food or to have your order taken.

I wanted so badly to go to Paola's, but now I am glad that I didn't go - I would have had a heart attack, being that I used to work food servicei n college and that is my biggest pet peeve (poor service) This sounds like poor EVERYTHING. I am sorry that it was sucha misrabel experience, but now you know who NOT to recommend for a dinner hour. Hope to meet all of you at the next get together.

That will teach them for messing around with moms who need some time to themselves!

Very disappointing all around experience and a GUARANTEE that they will never see any of the hundreds and hundreds of ModMom readers, plus the hundreds and hundreds of friends of ModMoms, nor any of us, who had the misfortune of having been there.

A male friend mentioned that they used to go there, I can now understand the past tense.

I couldn't agree more! One more to your list:
11. Enjoy screaming just to be able to carry a conversation and be heard by your tablemates.
#7 and 8 are my pet peeves. I ordered a small glass of wine for $10 (6oz - I'm driving right). It came in this tiny wine glass fit for my daughters tea set. If you want an adult sized glass, you need to order the large glass (10oz) at a whoping $14 each!!!! Hmmm let me do the math here.
