Located right in the Landsdowne Town Center, the Radiance Salon & Medi-Spa was a surprise to me. You would never guess as you walked by the traditional hair cutting stations, nail and pedicure chairs, that once you stepped through one of the unmarked doors, you would be in a different section containing rooms typically seen at a doctor’s office. Established by Dr. Phillip Chang, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, who also owns and directs the Aesthetica Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center, this salon/spa combination is designed for those seeking a one-stop shop for a partial or complete makeover.
After being offered a beverage (which included wine) I sat down with Sarah Safa, one of the two Physician Assistants on staff. Instead of the traditional white lab coat, this PA though, wore a black t-shirt with the word “BOTOX” in rhinestones. No subtle hints here. “Our happiest clientele are those in the 30-60 age range who want to look their best rather than turn back the clock.”
To help them look their best, Radiance includes all of the traditional methods. Botox is sold by the site here, rather than the unit. “And,” Sarah tells me, “no one ever pays full price.” There are also discounts on fillers and complimentary touch-ups, if you feel you need ‘just a touch more.’
The subject of IPL came up and that’s when Sarah became downright passionate about what she does. IPL, or Intense Pulsed Light, removes age spots, sun-induced freckles, most benign brown pigments, and redness caused by broken capillaries. She showed me some pictures of a young woman with freckles who, after undergoing IPL, had the most incredible luminous skin I’ve ever seen. Sign me up.
Like all Medi Spa staff that I spoke to, Sarah expressed concern for our obsession with the sun as being the biggest reason why we seek the help of places like Radiance. She recommended that I use a product daily that would protect me from both UVA and UVB (one without the other is not enough, I was told). “Here goes the sales pitch for some expensive product,” I thought. But, I was wrong. She told me to get Neutrogena Healthy Defense, as a good and inexpensive broad-spectrum protection.
Rain or shine, now I don’t leave home without it.

Anyone know where she is now located?

I am actually shocked to have seen even one negative review, leading me to assume the individual is challenging my intelligence as a consumer. I do not become a loyal customer easily, as I myself have worked in the customer service field for over 20 years. I know quality service and Radiance is a prime example.
Top Notch! Keep up the fabulous work!

I am surprised to read what you wrote about them... irresponsibility? I am here to tell you that that is not my experience. They have been kind, responsible, and actually very good (no one can tell I had stuff done).
I would go to Sarah without hesitation and would recommend her strongly to anyone, veterans and newbies.

They never have any backup for their mistakes - and she never has offered any solution for this ugly results. So, you might pay for opposite (to the expected) result.
The services from the past centures:-(
Dr Chaing seems never appeares in his salons.
I guess it should be called irresponsibility?
