This medispa may be small, but it has huge offerings. For instance: A lot of the medispas we interviewed discussed the Fraxel Laser Re:pair as one that they were looking into purchasing. Dr. Gerrish is not only a major advocate, but has been using it almost since it was approved late 2007. So much so, that between the Re:pair and Re:store lasers, Dr. Gerrish has become the 4th largest fraxel user in the country!
In addition, as a top user of Botox, this spa is one of a select few who have earned the Botox Platinum status, meaning they can pass savings to their clients. Not surprising that the cutting edge of technology is where Dr. Gerrish is most comfortable. His practice includes bio-scanners capable of indicating vitamin deficiencies and being aware of some new and exciting technology that will revolutionize the field of body contouring, “in the very near future,” he said. Put me on that waiting list.
Assisting Dr. Gerrish’s vision is Megan Hamilla the clinic’s master aesthetician. She first began our consultation with a VISIA® facial mapping (see more on VISIA on the WellMedica review). After sharing the findings, she told me that each time she does a facial it’s different (even for the same client), “because your skin is different every time you come in.” It’s all very personalized. “I consider myself a personal trainer for the skin. We want to train it to do what we want it to do.” Sounds good, I thought and put myself into her very capable hands.
Like a lot of you, I’ve had facials in the past. This one also included the use of a “galvanic current” which pushes the products into the skin through. A little disconcerting at first, but highly recommended as it made my skin really tingle. BUT it was her facial massage which was unbelievable. Don’t know where she learned some of the techniques, but my facial skin was ready to do as this trainer commanded.

I really like the idea of being able to search out vitamin deficiencies too. That is a great tool for helping with wellness.
