Let’s Dish is the most established and popular of the meal preparation institutions in Loudoun County. We visited the Ashburn location. Elizabeth Marcotte, who is a regional partner/operator, greeted us. Elizabeth is a very smart business lady with a background in investment banking out of New York. Her business background and experience show up in the operations of Let’s Dish. It is well run, efficient, and almost a factory efficient environment. We prepared 4 dishes and took them home to try out; Spinach Ravioli, Caribbean Chicken Fingers with Ginger Carrots, Thai Marinated Flank Steak and Thai Style Shrimp and Noodles. These four delicious meals would have taken you about 60 minutes to prepare at a cost of $100. It is a fun packed place with music (your choice), complimentary coffee, baked cookies, scones and even samples of next month’s menu items. Most of the customers, we met at this busy store, had been there between 15 to 20 times already. Elizabeth made all of the right alliances and is ready to provide you with wine suggestions for your particular meals from Neil at Winesmith. If you are a Weight Watchers participant, she can also provide you with Points chart of all the meals in the current month. You can reserve a session online at www.letsdish.com or you can walk in at during one of the “Flex Sessions” in the morning. The place is packed with plenty of delicious side dishes as well as “grab-and-go's.” Oh! By the way, we cooked all four dishes, and they were all very delicious. |

Jolie Crowder is the owner of this independent (non franchise) food preparation establishment in Reston. Why did we decide to review a Reston based company? We decided to review it because many of you told us that you live in Loudoun, and work in and around Reston. When we arrived, we noticed that the ambiance inside was created true to the name Zen. Soft brown colored walls, comfortable green sofas immediately calm you and transport you to a different place. Inside is large and roomy with S shaped long counters that can accommodate 24 people all at once. We tried Shrimp Scampi Skewers, Spaghetti Pizza Bake, Pork Tenderloin with Guava Glaze and Cinnamon Honey Chicken Tenders. Our favorite was Pork Tenderloin with Guava Glaze, which was packed with the right amount of jalapeno-powered kick. We also tried a side dish to die for, Smoky Mashed Potatoes with Chipotle and Gouda. It is a must side dish with every meat-based meal. Dinner Zen’s prices are very reasonable with 4 meals costing $92. Jolie who is a former nurse with a long career working for non-profits, made a partnership alliance with Health e-Lunch Kids. If your child’s school does not allow Health e-Lunch to be distributed at the school, you can pick up your meals at Dinner Zen. If you work or live around Reston, Dinner Zen is a great location for you to try out meal preparation establishments. 11160 E. South Lakes Drive Reston, VA 20191 |

Dream Dinners, simplifies cooking so you can do it in your sleep. Marjorie Thompson and her lovely daughter Shannon go out of their way to make you feel at home in their meal preparation kitchen. Dream Dinners may be new to Northern Virginia area, but they are widely recognized as “the originator of innovative and convenient dinner assembly stores.” Located in a brand new business center off Route 7, at the time of this review, Dream Dinners had been open for only 4 weeks. We walked into a 9 a.m. Saturday morning session. |
