Bollywood is a high energy dance form that incorporates ancient Indian rhythms infused with modern hand and footwork. The music is engaging and fast paced so it is a great cardiovascular work out as well as a toning activity for certain muscle groups like arms, abs and legs-with right movements to isolate those muscles. It does not even feel like you are exercising because you are essentially telling a story with the song that is playing in the background.

Bollywood is Bombay's Hollywood, it produces the most movies in the world annually. Every movie has song and dance numbers, the actors essentially are lip syncing but having dance skills to be the lead in the movie is a must. Bollywood movies can be compared to Broadway Musicals, they truly are a celebration of culture showing off the rich colors of Indian costume.

The Indian audience usually wants them to have a happy ending, because the world of film is supposed to help them forget about their problems and take them into a fantasy life. This can correspond to the Bollywood Cardio work out, the music and dance steps will take you into another world.

The class will begin slowly with Yoga Stretches and then warm up body parts with a slower song, and then it moves into faster beats as the 1 hour class goes on. Whether you're looking to explore the rich dance heritage of the Indian sub-continent or spice up your fitness routine, the Bollywood style of will bring out the dancer in you.
