WHO IS VAL?

Hi my name is Val Cavalheri.

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting some powerful and awesome ladies at the Modern Mom get together at San Vito’s in South Riding. One of the feedbacks that I received, once I was introduced as “the Val who is losing weight,” was that no one really knew too much about me--other than that I was losing weight publicly.

Yes, You Can Have Fatloss Forever!

In the spirit of the superbowl,below is a 'Happy Meal' recipe to support your fitness goals and have a happier event, naturally, this weekend.

There are chemicals in your brain that are responsible for controlling your mood, your desire to eat or not eat and control cravings.  Oh the cravings!  This recipe is especially good for you if you're someone who suffers from cravings the week before a menstral cycle or crave foods even when you're not hungry.  The reason we crave certain foods is actually a life preserving mechanism.  However, that can be sabotaging if we're on a weigh loss quest.  To help enhance those brain chemicals, 'neuro-transmitters,' that help you feel full and turn off the 'hunger switch' allow your food to be your medicine.  The recipe below is a perfect example of a life giving food that will help you burn fat, turn off the hunger switch and feel happier.

Angeled Eggs:
6 Boiled Eggs
Cottage Cheese 1 Container
Chopped Walnuts, Chest Nuts 1/2 C
Sunflower Seeds 1/4 C
Chopped Garlic 1 Clove
2-3 Chopped Green Onions
Cayenne pepper...1/2 t or less (pinch)
Grey Poupon or Dijon Mustard 2 t
1 T Wheat Germ
Halve the eggs and discard the yolk. Mix all ingredients (except nuts and cayenne pepper) as an egg filling. Once mixed, fill the eggs. Combine the nuts and pepper, sprinkle on top of egg filling.
Us left over filling in a salad or with a low carb wrap with turkey.

Ingredients in this recipe contain: Tryptophan, Seratonin, L-Tyrosine, B Vitamins and rich life giving properties to enhance stabilizing food cravings and lift your mood. Other ingredients act as natural thermogenics to boost your metabolism; and the combination of the ingredients will stabilize blood sugar levels while ensuring the 'happy' hormones will cross the blood brain barrier.
