I find that weekends are incredibly hard for me when I’m trying to lose weight. Maybe it is for you as well. There are so many temptations and so hard not to have that glass of wine or that piece of bread when out to dinner, especially when all around you are doing their thing while you may as well be wearing a Neon sign that is flashing “On Diet”
Obviously to everyone else it’s just another dinner, another weekend, but to me , I am fully encompassed by the knowledge that I am not being who I’m used to being. This became even more evident to me when my friends and family were just being, well…. friends and family. One friend, being the most gracious of hostesses asked me throughout the course of the evening if I wanted peanuts or wine, or a drink. Yes, yes, yes, BUT no I can’t have it. Next day my husband goes out of his way to bring home some bagels. Bagels!!!? Later on that day my youngest son asks me if I would share his chocolate chip cookie.
It’s frustrating to ‘be on notice.’ OK, I get it, I’m whining. So I’ll stop.
Worked out this morning with an exercise group. I’m pretty sore. Will do the same tomorrow. Might as well.
Fit into a one size smaller pair of jeans, although the scale is not really showing it.
I have some really great sites to share with you, which I will do this week. Let me know how you’re doing.
Whiningly yours,
Val
