OK, no ONE, (not all of you who responded to either my email or online) got this right.
Here was what I asked:
What’s the one common element that is the problem with the following dinner menu?
Appetizer: Brie and Goat cheese and some sushi.
Salad: Lettuces and spinach (you know the packaged greens) with alfalfa, sprouts topped with Caesar salad dressing.
Main Course: Grilled chicken and hamburgers with mayo on the side
Dessert: Cantaloupes.
No it’s not the fat content, sodium, or cellulite or water retention—all of those were common answers, but Hulya’s comment was the closest. She said “It’s killing me.” That is it. Every single one of these foods is named as a “dangerous food to eat.” Each has been associated with e.coli outbreaks (Brie and goat cheeses are made from un-pasteurized milk, Caesar contains raw egg, etc.)
So, just in case you don’t have enough to worry about, add this to your list.
That was fun. Will do that again soon. Keep a watch.
This had been a really good week. A week when I got back to being in control. In the process dropped an additional 5 pounds. No hunger, (and I’m afraid to say, no exercise.)
You did notice the word-- HAD BEEN, no? Was invited to a party this weekend. I worried how I would handle myself. I soon found out: “Just one little drinkey-poo,” I said. “Just a sip. Teenie little sip, can’t hurt. As a reward for being so good. Maybe just a glass. While I’m at it, let me taste this delicious dip, after all I don’t want this drink to go to my head, would I? Wow, what a fantastic casserole, let me pick at it, if I don’t put it on my plate, it won’t count. Fill up my glass, wouldja honey? Look at that appetizer, everyone’s talking about it, let me find out why. I have really never seen a birthday cake look so delicious.” I’m not kidding either. “Can it possibly taste as good as it looks?” It did. Both pieces.
So, I woke up very disappointed in myself. In previous times this would have been it for me, end of trying to be good, really down on myself, and would have spent weeks beating myself up. I did one better though, I decided to use this opportunity to fast. I had read a bunch of stuff that fasting once a month was a fantastic thing to do as it allows your body time to rest from all the digesting it has to do (on some bodies a lot more than on others). Why not? Good a time as any.
I was hungry at around the normal times that I would have eaten a meal and I got a little headachy towards the evening, but I did keep myself busy and before I knew it, I was ready for bed. Not bad at all.
Can’t wait to see if the scale reflects the fast. I’m just hoping that between the party and the fast, we’re now even.
Next blog: foot detox? Yep, wait till you hear this!

Did you hear JLo Lost 40 lbs in 4 weeks. She apparently has a group of people who are helping her do this, called "120 lbs Team". She wakes up everyday at 4 and works out 3 hours a day, 7 days a week.
I had my baby a year and a half ago and I have 30 lbs I want to lose and I am desperately seeking my 120 lb Team, but since I don't make a zillion dollars a day on how I look, I guess I am lacking in motivation. But I do have to say, how crazy!
I guess I could pretend that everyone reads this magazine and website because of how I look!!! Hahaha, I can't even pretend.
