I would like to enter my 12 year old son, Brandon, into the Dream Room contest. Brandon is an incredibly special child to us: at 12 years of age, he has already undergone 3 open heart surgeries, multiple cardiac procedures and hospitalizations, and has a pacemaker, all to correct a congenital heart defect. He is a strong child who is mature beyond his years in some ways. He faces each surgery and procedure with a bravery beyond belief! He is creative, artistic, fun, a jokester with a dry sense of humor, and loves his cat Bowser. Unfortunately, his cardiac status and pacemaker prevent him from participating in many physical activities that his peers enjoy. No soccer, no baseball, no football. He has been left out of many activities and friendship-building opportunities as a result.

I first saw Hunter Audlin in I Am Modern magazine as the Pint-sized Philanthropist. I was impressed with this young boy who had raised so much money for those in need. When I saw that I Am Modern was having a Dream Bedroom Giveaway for a deserving child I thought of Hunter-how great would it be to give back to someone who gives so much. Below is a list of Hunter's accomplishments:

Full of charisma and enthusiasm for life, my 10 year old son Kieran has truely been shaped by experiences in his short lifetime.  As an only child for 8 years to a single mom, there were times when we struggled more than I would ever let him know.  But his energy for life always made me smile, no matter what else happened each day.

I am writing, because I saw your contest while in a waiting room at the pediatrician. I have four children, and usually I do not get time to read magazines, but I was at the doctor with ONLY one child. It felt like fate!

I am writing for my twin 7 year olds. One is a boy Patrick, the other a girl Natalie. I could not decide...you decide :-). I included pictures of their rooms and also one of us together.

My daughter, Stacia is 11 years of age. I am a single parent. Stacia is a very creative and artistic person. She has big dreams but we have had challenges in making ends meet. I feel Stacia deserves the Dream Room Giveaway because she wants to be able to sleep in her own room but is scared to. So consequently she sleeps in my room.
