|
In a large pot, place the fruit, sugar, cinnamon, and 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil and lower heat and simmer for 1 hour. Serve hot in a glass mug that has a shot of tequila in it.

I think every parent, as a rite of passage, has purchased his or her child a copy of the Guinness Book of World Records at least once in their lifetime. I Am Modern’s own Food and Dining Editor, Murat Aksu recently gave the book to his young son and in the process, unleashed some of his own personal memories. Murat reminisced about his college years, working at an Italian restaurant where the Sicilian owner and crew took on the challenge of building the world’s largest pizza for the record books. Surely no one could compete with these restaurateurs, who spent their lives spinning the luscious, pasty masses above their heads without blinking an eye. Could they? |

As with a lot of good things, we stumbled upon this website totally by accident...and then we fell in love. Not only with the site but also with the business concept and finally, it's creators, Amelie and Tom. www.recipelook.co.uk, is a cooking website…no, an artist’s concept… well, actually, it's kind of both. All we can say is, “go check it out.” it’s like nothing we’ve ever come across, and we're sure you’ll agree. A caveat: the site is British, as are the creators, and therein lies its charm. We thought about ‘Americanizing’ this gem, but it just wouldn’t be the same. |
