If you are one of the rare Loudoun County residents who have not yet been to Clyde’s, then this review is for you. Here we will help you select some of the best dishes at this Ashburn restaurant.
Having been to Clyde’s with our families during multiple outings, we’ve had the opportunity to sample numerous dishes and sit at most of the available areas. Our favorites are as follows:
In a good weather, you cannot beat the patio seating, which can give you the feeling that you are in the courtyard of a Mediterranean villa. You can create a romantic outing for you and your hubby or go
out with your girlfriends whistling at the middle age Loudoun gentlemen (in a reversal of roles a la Mediterranean style). Our second favorite location is the piano room up front, directly behind the hostess station. It has plush leather chairs, large round tables, comfortable booths and a very nice piano bar. Leave the kids behind, as they are not allowed to dine in this room.
Our favorite foods are Beef Carnitas as a starter with marinated small pieces of steak, cheese quesadilla, sour cream and pico de gallo. The beef is so tender and delicious that you might even want it as an entrée, if they served it as such. Cheeseburgers are always above average. But our real favorite is the Reuben sandwich. Not as good as one you can get at New York’s Carnegie Deli, but it is one of the best in Loudoun County. If you are in the mood to share, we recommend the double order of Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes served with artichoke aioli, Yukon potato-onion gratin and arugula salad. Combining good food and ambiance, Clyde’s has so much to offer to Loudoun residents.
