Spa Cheat Sheet
I know we have already done our spa reviews here at IamModern but I wanted to try and simplify the whole process for you. IamModern does not endorse this blog-it is just my opinion. For lack of a better term I might be considered a Spa Slut. Ever since moving to LC I have been around the spa/salon circuit. I am by no means an expert in the field but I thought I would share my thoughts on my favs for certain aesthetic pleasures.
Here we go:
Favorite Spa Pedicure: Natural Body Spa in Ashburn>
Why: You are put in your own private room while you sit back and relax in a soft leather chair-I almost fell asleep.
Favorite Body Treatment: Amenity Day Spa in Ashburn
Why: I had the Glycolic Body Peel-my skin was so nasty from the dry winter air and after the treatment my skin felt as soft as a babies bottom.
Favorite Hair Removal: Spa Fusion in Sterling
Why: I had laser hair removal on my underarms - I barely felt a thing and I did not have to shave for a month (I still have to go back and finish).
Favorite Maternity Massage: Radiance in Broadlands
Why: It was the best thing about being pregnant-keep rubbing my ankles!
Favorite Organic Facial: Natural Body Spa in Ashburn
Why-I love the Jurlique products and Jermaine gives you an added bonus-massage.
Favorite Couples Massage: Spa Minerale /Lansdowne Resort
Why: It is our go to place when we want to get away for a night-great place for a romantic evening-after getting a nice massage you can have some drinks and a nice dinner!
Favorite Spray Tan: Trinity Fitness & Spa in Dulles
Why: The spray tan room is nice and big so you don’t feel like you are inhaling all those fumes-very clean as well. Big plus-you can bring your kids and pay for them to stay in the KidsSpirit room while you pamper yourself!
Favorite Laser Face Treatment: The Medical Spa at NOVA in Ashburn
Why: I had melasma on my face after having my daughter so I had the IPL Photorejuvenation to remove the hyper pigmentation-it worked great with no downtime-however I got pregnant again and it all came back-not their fault-just hormones.
Favorite Spa Toilet: Amenity Day Spa in Ashburn
Why: I know you are probably thinking what is she talking about-but you will understand when you go-trust me!
Well for the most part there it is-I don’t even want to start with the nail salons-too many to write. Please feel free to add to my list I know all of you ladies have some favs and I would love for you to share them.
