The best candidates for a tummy tuck are men or women who are in relatively good shape.
The tummy tuck (a.k.a. abdominoplasty) is a popular cosmetic surgery procedure designed to remove excess skin from the abdomen, while simultaneously tightening the abdominal muscles. It is indicated in cases where there is laxity of the abdomen resulting in bulging due to abnormal stretching of the abdominal muscles and skin. Unlike liposuction surgery, which just removes fat, this operation involves removal of skin and fat, with tightening of the abdominal muscles. For this reason, it is more extensive than liposuction. The actual extent of surgery will depend on the amount of excess skin and the laxity of the abdominal muscles. |

Spa Cheat Sheet
I know we have already done our spa reviews here at IamModern but I wanted to try and simplify the whole process for you. IamModern does not endorse this blog-it is just my opinion. For lack of a better term I might be considered a Spa Slut. Ever since moving to LC I have been around the spa/salon circuit. I am by no means an expert in the field but I thought I would share my thoughts on my favs for certain aesthetic pleasures.

I am a Mediterranean man and I’ve got too many hormones in my body. One of the many side effects of being a Mediterranean man is to lose your hair on your head and gain it in unwanted areas like inside your nose, ears, shoulders, back, throat and your chest all wrapped in one big hair ball.
Hair in your nose and ears, you can deal with. Shave it, pluck it, grab it, etc. You can also shave the hair on your throat. But what do you do with your back and shoulder hair? Nair is one alternative, but it seems that every time you use Nair, it acts as a fertilizer and all the hair comes back with a vengeance.

Choosing a cosmetic surgeon for laser treatment is a major decision.
By Dr. Moose
The idea of refreshing the tired skin and face, recapturing the fresh look prior to child bearing years, is more than appealing and easier than it has ever been. There are non-invasive or minimuminvasive procedures that can be performed in office with little or no down time. Laser is a common tool to do just that and it has been helping doctors to safely and effectively treat patients for more than 30 years. |
