What: First Night Alexandria is the largest, safest, family-friendly, budget-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration through the performing arts in the Greater Washington Metropolitan area.   
Where: King Street is open to the public, but a performance badge is required to enter the venues.
Price: The price of a badge from November 1 through December 21 will be $15 each.  Beginning December 22, the price is $20 through December 31. Children 12 and under are free and do not need a badge but must be accompanied by an adult wearing a badge. Active military can obtain one free badge with presentation of an active military ID on December 31 only.

Volunteers Gearing Up for Loudoun County’s Largest Eco-Event in 2011 Plans Underway for 3rd Annual EarthDay@Loudoun Family Festival

The Broadlands Wildlife Habitat Committee and volunteers throughout Loudoun County are actively working on plans for a trifecta in delivering the area’s largest eco-event ever assembled. The EarthDay@Loudoun Family Festival will return to the heart of Loudoun County, in beautiful Broadlands, VA at Willow Creek Farm in spring 2011. The location highlights a preserved natural pond, creek and restored barn, and acres of woods and grasslands - a perfect setting for the thousands of attendees and some 100+ exhibitors expected at the venue.

The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 10th from 11am-4pm and will not only feature amazing eco-experiences and exhibits on how citizens can be more environmentally aware on how to sustain a “green lifestyle; the event will feature something for the entire family including hands on activities, a “Kids Zone”, Eco-Stage, live music and other entertainment.
