Pamela Steuart is an accomplished and in-demand artist. She is also a businesswoman, running her own company, Pamela Steuart Fine Art, LLC, and a proud mother of three boys. We talked to Pamela about her work, her family and some of the challenges and blessings that she has faced in her life.

Some women emanate self-confidence. It’s undeniable, unmistakable. Even at first glance you are convinced that they can fly to the moon and back if they so wished. Dr. Sherry Maragh is that woman. Ultra accomplished, hyper educated, and drop dead gorgeous, Dr. Maragh has it all. We spoke to the Dr. Sherry Maragh about her life and her work and what makes her tick.

Mom-preneur Eli Edwards was bubbling over with ideas for handy and useful products – inspired by her life with her husband and three children – but she was missing a business partner to share her entrepreneurial vision.

Then two years ago, Edwards found her business match in the most unlikely of places − her daughter’s Old Town Alexandria preschool. Edwards and Sally Eastman, both stay-at-home moms, realized they had a passion for small business and turning their daily observations into products for children and families.

Tiffany Bowen is a mom, a former teacher, a businesswoman and the wife of a famous athlete, Redskins Defensive End, Stephen Bowen. We sit with Tiffany and talk about her life, the troubles along the way, and what it’s like being married to a Redskin.

How has adjusting to life in Northern Virginia been? All settled in?
I finally feel like I can exhale a little. I’m still trying to learn my way around. It’s going to take some time. I was in Dallas for five years and I remember it taking a good two years before it felt like home. I like Northern Virginia so far. I’m an east coast girl, so I like the fact that I’m back.

Some designers are bred, others are born. Raji Radhakrishnan of Raji Rm & Associates is a member of the latter group. Raji is known for working closely with her clients, and creating the perfect environment based on her client’s personality, interests, passions and tastes. We sat down with Raji and talked about her work and what moves and inspires her.

How did you get started in Interior Design?
It’s been a long-time passion. Traveling around the world since childhood, I was fascinated by all the places and homes I visited. Having grown up in a family of architects and civil engineers also made design inevitable and was a natural comfort zone for me. My own home was published in Metropolitan Home and basically launched my career.

Julie Flygare is a marathon runner. She is also a yogi and a gifted photographer. She is a former law student, a tireless advocate and community outreach liaison for a very worthy nonprofit, and she is an all-around amazing person. She also has narcolepsy, a debilitating sleep disorder that causes an excessive urge to sleep, and also cataplexy, which can be characterized by a sudden loss of muscle control. But Julie is far more than her illnesses; she is a role model for anyone who has, or must overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. We were honored to interview her about her condition, and how she is working to eradicate it.

Danielle Leach is an extraordinary woman. After losing her beloved son Mason to the scourge of cancer, Danielle decided that she would commit her life to raising awareness and funds to help defeat childhood cancers. She was part of this year’s 46 Mammas event in D.C. where she and 46 others shaved their heads in solidarity with their loved ones who have been affected by the disease. We spoke to Danielle about her life, her involvement with 46 Mammas and her own fund The Mason Leach Superstar Fund.
